Help My Daughter Bethany

Donation protected
My Beth was diagnosed with severe gastroparesis five years ago. It is a devastating problem for many reasons. Her stomach and intestines have almost no motility; hence, anything she eats remains in her stomach for hours and hours, fermenting. She had an experimental gastric pacemaker implanted four years ago, with little success. The battery box is implanted internally in her lower abdomen, right side, and lead wires go into the stomach. These must remain in her for life,as removing them would be very dangerous. She required a cholecystectomy last year, which was quite worrisome, due to the danger of disturbing the leads. Beth also has a heart condition known as prolonged QT wave syndrome. She frequently has bouts of nausea and vomiting secondary to her gastroparesis. This,in turn, leads to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance(which then affects her heart rhythm). Due to the constant backlog of stomach acid, her teeth have lost all enamel, and she faces months of expensive dental work. Pulling all her teeth and getting dentures is not an option,as due to bone loss, she has TMJ. She is taking part in blind studies to try to find a medication that might help with the gastroparesis. It is a heartache for her to know that she will never be able to have a baby. Her medical bills have become overwhelming. I wish,as her Mom,that I could help her financially, but I had a stroke while working(anRN) at age 57,and I am now in a wheelchair. I have waited a long while to post this. We are not people who enjoy asking for help. We have always tried to help others, including animals (in particular, feral cats, finding them good inside homes). Beth continues to work, though at times it is difficult for her. She is trying to pay back her college loans(she is a teacher at a preschool learning center), while being a stepmom to three children. Again,I don't like asking for help, but the bills just keep pouring in,many from collection agencies. If you cannot help financially, for times are rough, will you please say a prayer for her healing? I thank you so much.
