Hello Everyone!
Ms. Margaret “Peggy” Mathna has been fighting an uphill battle with ALS for a year. ALS is a debilitating progressive neurodegenerative disease that destroys neurons that control our voluntary muscles. There is no cure for ALS and the disease is 100% fatal. ALS victims often lose the ability to speak, move, eat, and eventually breathe. Peggy’s condition has progressed rapidly in the past 6 months.
For those you who know Peggy, you know that she’s a fighter. Unfortunately, Peggy’s battle with ALS has taken a toll on her physically and she is unable to continue pursuing and fighting for the passions that drive her. She has had multiple hospital stays and now requires 24/7 in home healthcare. The expenses for her care are rising every day and she is in desperate need of assistance. All funds raised will pay for the following ongoing expenses:
• Medical Bills
• Healthcare Workers
• Medical Supplies
• Monthly Bills
Prior to being diagnosed with ALS Peggy dedicated her life to helping others by lobbying for change in Washington D.C. Peggy is a member of the St. Jude Research Hospital’s “Runway for Life” Los Angeles Committee. Runway for Life raises money for cancer-related programs within various communities. Additionally, Peggy served on the Board of Trustees at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum from 1985 to 2001.
A fundraising account has been set up in Peggy’s name at PNC Bank. At this time we are asking all who are able and willing to donate to help pay for the ongoing expenses ALS is costing Peggy.
