Patricia Blake - ALS

Our dear friend, Patricia Blake, was recently diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig's Disease. She is facing this devastating illness with grace and dignity, and, most importantly, a positive mindset. Sadly, in addition to being widowed, she lost one of her beloved brothers to this same illness last year. She is striving to remain optimistic in her approach, as she continues to research both traditional and holistic medicine. She has been receiving acupuncture treatments to improve her quality of life and to slow the disease process of this illness. Such approaches, while proven effective, are often not covered by health insurance. This devoted and loving Mother and Grandmother is deeply concerned about the impact this disease will have on her loved ones both emotionally and financially.
