Bill and Betty Parker Survival Fund

God has allowed the Motycka family to love and support our family friends, Bill and Betty Parker and their extended family, for almost 30 years. They have been through so many unfortunate events that a even a book could not tell their story. They have no hope of ever getting out of debt. Most days, they must be satisfied with one meal a day. (DHR says their disability income is $56 too much to get food stamps) The only light at the end of their tunnel is Jesus…no hope of any other relief. Why?  Bill has had 3 liver transplants, a kidney transplant, survived cancer and is now needing heart surgery. Before Bill came down ill, Bill and Betty had their own business and their own home in Alabama; a first in a family history suffering from poverty. Bill became so sick while visiting family in Texas, that they could not even return to Alabama, losing all they had worked so hard for. The debt has accumulated for 2 decades with Bill being completely disabled and Betty being on partial disability. Betty is also Bill’s full-time care giver and she is raising their 5 year old granddaughter. Most of the disability checks go to pay for Bill’s antirejection drugs. Bill cannot have lifesaving heart surgery until he gains weight and becomes healthy again, which cannot happen on one meal a day. Most of you know our family well enough to know we are being completely transparent. These are good people. These people are not lazy. They would give their last meal to someone in need. We are asking you to help us give these folks some relief. Pride? They don’t have any anymore…they just want to eat and pay their electric bill. I truly believe we are called to help those that are in need and this is a wonderful opportunity to put truth into action. I encourage you to please pray and give alongside us as we work to bring some normality back to the lives of these amazing people.
