Paul Matteson was a husband,
Father, grandfather, and a friend like almost any other normal person whose life is cut short by cancer. Yet Paul stood out among people in his commitment to sponsoring so many more others whose lives could have been cut short through alcoholism. Paul lived his life...right to the end "one day at a time". He lived in gratitude and in a place of compassion for anyone who was suffering. What makes it easier for me to cope with his death is remembering how he lived and how many lives he saved by sponsoring, mentoring, teaching and sharing his experience, strength, and hope with so many others...if we could all pay forward just a tiny piece of what Paul left behind for any of us...the world would live in hamony.
