· Was a crucial Intelligence Officer and vital asset to his Brigade
· His dedication to duty directly contributed to his Battalion’s success

Sgt. Crawford served 2 tours of duty in imminent danger to better the lives of the Iraqi people and protect the freedoms of Americans...... Now, it's our turn to give back to Sgt. Crawford.

Sgt Crawford returned from those tours with a severe cast of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Sadly, many of our men and women come home and don't know how to live “not in war” any longer.  They have been trained to always be on alert, always look for threats, and do everything they can to stay alive and keep their buddies alive.  They have been taught to have a combat mindset.  They have not been taught to have an off switch.

· 22 Veterans commit suicide each day.

Sgt Crawford would greatly benefit from having a therapy dog who could wake him from nightmares, allow him to feel more safe in public, alert him when someone is approaching from behind, defuse onsets of panic and anxiety.  Therapy dogs decrease hyper-vigilance, perform behavior for flash backs, perform tasks for schedule regulation, increase self esteem and provide constant companionship and unconditional love.
