Who Are We?
The PH8 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization based out of Los Angeles and founded by millennials.
What Do We Believe?
We believe that access to clean water is a human right. With awareness of the global water crisis growing each day, we know we must do our part to educate others and take action. By supporting our efforts that maximize sustainable water access in developing nations while minimizing damage to the environment, we know we can achieve our mission of ending global thirst in our lifetime, forever.
What's Now ?
Lamleste is a rural community of 600+ people who live in the thick humid jungles of the Kumasi Region. When we first set foot there, courtesy of our guide from the city, we were looked at with curious faces, followed by endless amounts of hugs and laughter.
During our last visit, we played a game of soccer. A young boy named Samuel, watched us carefully as we recharged our bodies with bottled water under the scorching sun, and when we were finished he asked for a drink. We realized we only had four water bottles for 100+ children who were also looking at us with hope. This showed us something.
We took action to the best of our ability, and drilled a water well with an electric pump for the entire village. This pump currently gives access to free, clean, safe drinking water for every person in Lamletse and the Confidence Complex Coins Children's School.
What's Next ?
Confidence Complex Coins has been active for 13 years and currently has an enrollment of 300+ students ages 3-18. In light of our efforts to provide clean water to Lamletse, the villagers have renamed Confidence Complex Coin into "PH8 Academy" to honor the project completed in December 2016.
Why We Need Your Help!
Lamleste is striving to get off the ground. The kids want to learn and need a place to do it. The children are longing for a real, engaging, enriching education. With the money you donate we'll be able to build a more sustainable school with laptops & standard supplies, develop more curriculums, & continue our efforts of combating the world water crisis.
