"My First 14'er" Climb for DC

Who we Are We are Taryn van Rensburg and Bailey Schrader. We are 12 years old, and this year our school is giving us a chance to visit and learn about Washington D.C. We saw an opportunity to raise money while doing something challenging we have never done before. Life is about learning and growing, so we decided to climb our first fourteener. These are some life lessons we hope to learn on our journey: -Physically Growing: Getting stronger and healthier. -Mentally Growing: Learning to persevere and push through the hard times. -Mentors: Having multiple people, who are further into the future than us, teach us and help us grow into better, successful, people. -Friendship: Taking our friendship (Taryn and Bailey) to a new and better level by doing something hard together. Our Team Together, we have created a amazing mentoring team including: -Sara and Shaun van Rensburg -Beth and Brian Schrader -Linda Montgomery -Bob Neuman With their help, we will train, learn more about ourselves, and raise the money we need to go on our trip to D.C. All money that is given will go towards our Washington D.C. registrations and to help the school send chaparones. Any left-over money will be given to the school to help the kids whose families can't afford to go on their own.
