Ong King Relocation Fund!

Ong King has been a Community Arts Center in the heart of Chinatown for the past 12 years.  Our lease has expired, and we are seeking funds to help us relocate, and grow into a space that allows us to have more people making and enjoying art, dance and music, as we have gotten larger than our current space allows and want to provide a venue for the expansion and experimentation of creative endevors in the heart of Honolulu.

For many years, we have been able to pay the bills through the donations and generosity of our patrons, and have always gotten just enough to get by.  However, with a move like this, we will need the funds to help build a bigger location.  We are seeking $29000 to use in the following ways.

$12,000 - the cost of moving, deposit, & rent until we are settled in the new spot and can get by on our monthly events once again

$8,000 - The cost of construction and permits to build a kitchen facility, allowing us to provide our patrons with fresh food and beverage

$6,000 - The cost of maintaining and updating our sound and lighting equipment, in order to fully create the enviroment and sound quality our customers deserve.

$3,000 - Furshings for the new place, so that there will be comfortable places to sit, and a classy ambiance.

Rewards for donations

$25 - an Ong King patch
$50 - Ong King T-shirt
$100 - Unlimited Kava for 1 full year
$250 - Unlimited Coffee/Tea for 1 full year
$500 - Free admission  to all events for 1 year
