Oaxaca Earthquake Emergency Relief

Donation protected
Thursday night the Mexican state of Oaxaca was hit by the most devastating earthquake in 100 years. The town of Juchitan, the hardest hit has been been reduced to rubble. The magnitude was 8.2 and many are still buried. Homes are gone, and people are struggling to survive.
People need basic supplies, beans and rice, toilet paper, batteries, lamps, clothing, oil...
Aid organizations are notoriously slow and corrupt in this part of the world. When I read that Omar was simply asking for beans and rice, my heart broke. I will take the money raised here directly and put it in the hands of friend and collaborator, ceramacist, Omar Hernandez. He and his partner, Lupita Guendolay, of Juchitan are using their gallery on Alcala in Oaxaca City as a donataion center, where they will collect supplies that are desperately needed in Juchitan and deliver them directly to the hands of the people. Their surrival depends on this community effort. Please help us deliver this much needed relief.
