HI GUYS
I'm transgender FTM meaning I was born in a female body but I identify as male.
I'm making this GOFUNDME as I've had many people ask if they could donate for my surgery but I've had no way of setting that up. I've made merch to fund this surgery but a lot of people have suggested that this is a better way of raising the money as the merch company I use takes a large amount of the profit.
Top surgery is in essence, a life changing surgery that would help alleviate A LOT of dysphoria for me. It's something that I've always felt I needed but situations just haven't turned out right.
In the UK, I'd have to wait at least 3 years in order to get this surgery on the NHS. My doctors lost my papers and referred me to the wrong gender clinic, putting me to the back of a 3 year waiting list. I honestly would not be able to wait 3 years to have this surgery as I feel as though my dysphoria is worsening the longer I go on in a body that doesn't align with my brain. If I am able to reach my goals with this gofundme, I would hopefully be able to have this surgery by the end of the year, if not, in early 2019.
I was well on my way in raising the funds myself but I had to spend ALL of this money on egg freezing just so that I would be able to have biological children in the future. The surgery will cost around £6500. If for any reason, the surgery does not turn out that price (depends on how long your surgery is), I'll use the remaining funds to do a binder giveaway to help other trans guys!
