Paris Fashion Week

When I was younger, I always struggled to fit in.  Although I was bullied and put down for so many years of my life, that wasn't the only reason I struggled to feel confident or beautiful in my own skin; it was hard to feel excluded from my peers because I didn't look like them. Fashion was ironically in many ways my enemy when I was young, because I didn't have the confidence to see otherwise. It took me years to realize but eventually I came to see that I was never the problem, but the problem is in the message circulated in the media about beauty and what beauty should be. Once I realized that, I started using fashion as a way to find an identity for myself, and it grew to become so much more than that- it became a calling, and a passion. 

The core of my brand is truly creating beautiful, classic, feminine and unique clothes that are made to fit every woman. To me, style should have no number, and that is the very center of my motivation and design vision. I was never an “average” size growing up, and not finding clothes like my peers got to wear was devastating for me; no one should ever feel ostracized for their body shape, and I am on a mission to positively impact the fashion industry and push it towards being more inclusive. Fashion is for everyone, and I dream of a day when we see better representation for people who come from all walks of life. 

I was humbled and honored to have been selected from a pool of over 60,000 designers to showcase my own collection at New York Fashion Week this past September, and I am so grateful to have had that opportunity, and the existing opportunities to show at LA Fashion Week and at Her Campus' College Fashion Week. 

I am also incredibly excited to announce that I have been selected as one of FIVE designers in the entire world to show at Paris Fashion Week THIS SEPTEMBER (the 28th) with Flying Solo (a brand that is disrupting the Fashion Industry, by creating a one-of-a kind retail space connecting a very carefully selected group of designers with consumers. Their fashion week shows are award-winning, and attended by huge names like Nylon Magazine, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, The NY Times, and more!) 

It is such an honor to have been chosen, and any amount you would be able to contribute would help me tremendously to reach my goal of making it to Paris! The funds will be used towards my flight, and the expenses of the show itself. Your support would mean the world to me, and help me keep persevering forwards to the future I'm working hard for each and every day- not just for myself, but for all women.
