Help us get to GDC!
We're Nevermore North, we're making a video game, and we need your help.
A few of my friends and I are making a video game. It's really hard work, but we're making it happen!
Here's the thing... independent development is a rough, rough journey. Part of that journey is to try and find a publisher- a company that will stake our game in exchange for most of the profits. If our team can manage to grab a publisher, I can justify moving our entire team in to full time game development.
Enter San Francisco's Game Developer Conference.
Conferences are where jobs get obtained, relationships get formed, and games get greenlit. We're working on a pitch to sell Limus Keep, our indie title, to publishers, and slaving away on making a demo happen. The problem is, like is often the case- you need to spend money to make money. Flying to San Francisco, taking a week off of work, and more is expensive.
Tickets need to be bought by January 31st - in about a month and a half. We're planning on using the money to buy air fare to San Francisco, the actual convention ticket, and offsetting travel costs and incidentals while there.
The fact that you're even on this page, and have read this far, is greatly appreciated. If there's anything you can do to help make this trip happen, it would be absolutely amazing.
The goals represent a barebones GDC experience, but that should be enough for us to go make some friends and build some connections.

If we reach X, we'll be able to do...
$500 - One of us can go to GDC, and get a publisher! This is the minimum of what we need to make this work.
$1000 - A two man team can go represent the game you invested in at GDC!
$1500 - Our third team member can make the trip!
$2000 - All our incidentals will be fully covered!
$2500 - ??? We can offset some of the costs of part time development, go to more of the convention for more visibility, and every penny goes to making our game a reality!
If for any reason we're unable to go to GDC, any raised money will instead go to offsetting development costs for our game!
