My name is Myranda, I am 15 years old and I have been awarded the opportunity to attend the world renown Dance Theater of Harlem's Summer Intensive Program. This is a highly competitive program and out of 145 dancers, I was selected for this once and lifetime opportunity! This is every young aspiring dancer of color's dream and I have the chance to live it. However, as with all programs of this nature, there is a cost. As a participant, I am responsible for my tuition, along with my room and board, which amounts to over $2000.
In addition to training for 5 hours a week and rehearsing for another 4 hours, I manage to remain on the honor roll and actively volunteer at my church. I am also a recipient of the Artist Simply Human (ASH) dance scholarship for 2017 and 2018. I am no stranger to hard work and dedication, I just need a little extra help to achieve my next goal. Whatever assistance you can provide, will be very much appreciated. Thanks so much for all of your love and support in advance.
