My Mission Trip to Liberia

My name is Kelsey Holtz and I plan on going on a mission trip to Liberia this December.  I have been on a couple other mission trips to Haiti (the picture I chose is from my most recent trip to Haiti) but this will be my first time ever going to Liberia.  While it will be my first time going, this trip is approaching a twenty year partnership between Effort Baptist (my church) and Effort Liberia.  So, clearly this relationship is a big part of my church and because of this I have always wanted to be apart of it myself, especially after hearing all of my grandma's stories from the times she has gone.  Typically, the trip focuses mostly on meeting the medical needs of those in Liberia and if y'all know me then you know that is not my area; however, this year we will be doing much more!  We will be ministering to and assiting in orphanages, church plants, schools, a home for disabled children, and we will be doing some leadership training with the youth and also help meet some of their basic medical needs.  I had been wanting to go to Liberia for a couple years but the idea of a medical mission didn't seem fitting, so when I found out about everything else, I knew God was telling me it was my time to go and I couldn't back away this time.  
As you can imagine the cost of the trip is a little pricey and as I just started college I won't be able to finance it on my own.  Matthew 7:7 states, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find," and this is me asking (and hoping I will  receive) for your help in supporting me on this trip I wish to embark upon.  If you are unable to give financially, there are a multitude of other way for you to show your support: kinds thoughts, messages, and prayers for all going on the trip are also needed and--dare I say--much more important, for although it is the money that may initially send us over there, it is the love and support from our family in Christ that keeps us going and makes this all possible!  Thank you for your time, God bless!!!
