Milton Guillermo's KidneyTransplant

This is the story about a Superhero who has been fighting through life and beating all hardships that have come his way. This is Milton Guillermo Serrano's story-a 26 year old young man who has had the strength to beat health issues since he was a baby. He started his first battle when he was born.  Doctors said he would suffer from epilepsy yet he grew up to be a normal kid.
At 10 years old he started using a hearing aid because of hearing impairness. He faced his insecurities as a kid and continues to use it to this day.
On his teenage years he sufferered from severe headaches. Doctors discovered a cyst on his head. Year after year  he had a tomography done to check it and make sure there was no changes. The anxiety was there on every visit because we did not know what to expect. The cyst is no longer a threat and Guille was able to carry on with his life.
When he turned 18, his kidneys started failing.  He started treatment but this was not easy. Medication was very strong and side effects were tough to handle.  He pulled through once again- a Superhero. He finished college, graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned two Bachelor degrees and landed his first job. He was determined to live a life without limitations while achieving all his goals.
On March 4th, 2017 everything changed. Milton Guillermo was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Insufficiency -impairing his kidneys to work properly.  Chronic Kidney Disease can affect almost every part of your body. Some of Guille's complications have been high fluid retention,  hypertension, hyperkalemia,
severe anemia, swelling among others. He  has reached End Stage Kidney Disease for which was required Hemodialysis Treatment and shortly after,  Peritoneal Dialysis to absorb waste and excess fluids. He needs to perform his dyalisis every 4 hours. This has been and continues to be the toughest battle of all. It's been 6 months of constant angst, pain and life changes, but also 6 months of our family by his side with all the faith that this is the last battle he will fight and that he will win. He is a figher. He is a hero, He is a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and human being.  Dialysis is no longer working for him as it's supposed to. He needs a kidney transplant. This is not easy though. Surgery needs to be done as soon as possible and we are in need of funds to make it happen. His father will donate his kidney to him. It's  a gift of love and hope for life.  We are asking for your help to win this battle. All donations will go to Milton Guillermo's kidney transplant and treatment. Every dollar counts. Esta es la historia de un superhéroe que ha estado luchando a través de la vida y superando todos los obstáculos en su camino. Esta es la historia de Milton Guillermo Serrano, un joven de 26 años que ha tenido la fuerza para derrotar todas las enfermedades que le han diagnosticado desde que era un bebé. Comenzó su primera batalla al nacer. Los médicos dijeron que sufriría de epilepsia y sin embargo creció un niño normal.
A los 10 años de edad comenzó a usar un audífono debido a problemas de audición. Se enfrentó a sus inseguridades como niño y sigue utilizándolo hasta este dia.
En su adolescencia sufrió fuertes dolores de cabeza. Los médicos descubrieron un quiste en la cabeza. Año tras año se hizo una tomografía para revisarlo y asegurarse de que no habian cambios. La ansiedad estaba allí en cada visita porque no sabíamos qué esperar. El quiste ya no es una amenaza y Guille fue capaz de continuar con su vida.
Cuando cumplió 18 años, sus riñones comenzaron a fallar. Empezó el tratamiento pero no fue fácil. Los medicamentos eran muy fuertes y los efectos secundarios eran difíciles de manejar. Él lo superó
una vez más -->un Superhéroe. Terminó la universidad, se graduó Magna Cum Laude, obtuvo dos títulos de licenciatura y comenzó su primer trabajo. Estaba decidido a vivir una vida sin limitaciones mientras alcanzaba todos sus objetivos.
El 4 de marzo de 2017 todo cambió. Milton Guillermo fue diagnosticado con Insuficiencia Renal Crónica, impidiendo que sus riñones funcionaran correctamente. La enfermedad renal crónica puede afectar a casi todas las partes de su cuerpo. Algunas de las complicaciones de Guille han sido alta retención de líquidos, hipertensión, hiperpotasemia, anemia severa, hinchazón entre otros. Ha alcanzado la Enfermedad Renal de la Etapa Final para la cual se requirió Tratamiento de Hemodiálisis y poco después-Diálisis Peritoneal, para absorber los residuos y el exceso de líquidos. Necesita hacer su diálisis cada 4 horas. Esta ha sido y sigue siendo la batalla más dura de todas. Han sido 6 meses de constante preocupación, dolor y cambios de vida, pero también 6 meses en que nuestra familia ha estado a su lado con toda la convicción de que esta es su última batalla y que él saldrá victorioso. Él es un luchador. Él es un héroe. Es un hijo amoroso, hermano, nieto, sobrino, primo, amigo y ser humano. 
La diálisis ya no funciona para él. Necesita un trasplante de riñón. Sin embargo, esto no es fácil. La cirugía tiene que hacerse lo más pronto posible y estamos necesitados de fondos para hacer que esto suceda. Su padre le donará su riñón. Es un regalo de amor y esperanza para la vida. Estamos pidiendo su ayuda para ganar esta batalla. Todas las donaciones se destinarán al trasplante de riñón y al tratamiento de Milton Guillermo. Cada contribución cuenta. Declaramos que ganará.
