Help Mikey McCormick

We would like to raise money for expenses related to caring for Mikey. The family will need help with hotel stays, food, transportation etc. If treatment is not successful all donations will go towards a memorial fund, but right now we're focused on keeping Mikey alive! On June 27th Mikey was at the beach with family enjoying the summer. He was in the ocean when he started having an allergic reaction to something unknown at this time. Within minutes he was in a full anaphylactic shock causing his heart to stop beating. He was transported to the local hospital with EMTs working on him vigorously to save his life. His pulse came back and he was put on life support. The hospital transported Mikey by helicopter to Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, TX. Sometime during his transport or arrival at the hospital he experience cardiac arrest again. After stabalizing him, they placed Mikey in the PICU unit of the hospital in Critical Condition. The doctors later notified Tammy, his mother, that he did not have any brain activity. Despite what his medical staff is saying, our family is holding hope that Mikey will recover from this incident and continue his life healthier than ever!
