Louis Michot is a Cajun French musician, songwriter, and co-founder of the Grammy nominated Lost Bayou Ramblers.
From May 31-June 5, Louis will be performing a residency, an essential retrospective of his music career thus far, at John Zorn's East Village venue known for avant garde and experimental music, THE STONE. Twelve distinct performances will feature music from Les Freres Michot, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Pilette's Ghost, as well as collaborations with Spider Stacy (The Pogues), Charlelie Couture, and String Noise, to name a few.
This residency is an amazing opportunity to reconnect musicians and projects from the last 20 years, as well as a chance to experiment with new ideas and collaborations.
This fundraiser helps with travel, lodging, and food for 12 Louisiana musicians which will total over $6000.
There are over 25 amazing musicians who will join Louis for this residency, and ticket sales will be divided between all musicians.
