Help Michaela study at Barnard College
Donation protected
High School sophomore Michaela, has been chosen to
take part in this summer's Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholars, a prestigious program for young women for pre-college study at top colleges and universities. She plans to attend Barnard College's Summer in the City program in New York. Michaela is one of only 80 high school students in the Midwest selected to
participate.
The Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholars Committee evaluates
applicants on three broad areas: academic achievement, leadership in extracurricular and community activities, and potential for the summer program to be transformative. Students who participate in summer programs have the opportunity to live on a college campus, take classes with college faculty and students from all over the world, and explore areas of academic
and extracurricular interest.

Michaela would like to pursue a degree in Musical Theater after high school. She has performed in 27 productions and takes voice and dance lessons. This is her chance to study acting at a much higher level and be exposed to different careers within the arts. We have received $2,500 in scholarships for this program, but it is still more than we are able to afford. If you would like to help a young woman begin to realize her potential and her dreams, please consider a donation! Thank you!
