Supporting my Art

Hi, my name is Michael, I am a full-time artist trying to raise funds to help pay for art supplies so I can keep producing work. I am also raising funds to pay for traveling and shipping expenses for participating in art exhibits.

Because of the sheer amount of work I produce, I consume a minimum of about $840 worth of art supplies a month. These items include oil paints, stretched canvas, mineral spirits and miscellaneous items such as drawing paper, fixative, brushes, charcoal, etc. For example, just covering the basics, I use about $300 worth of oil paint a month, consume $500 worth of canvas, and $40 worth of mineral spirits a month.

I hope to raise enough funds to cover the shipping costs for sending my art to galleries, for my traveling expenses for opening receptions, and the cost of art supplies. My art is listed for sale on Saatchi Art but I struggle to direct traffic to my artist website and SaatchiArt.com/MichaelHanna page despite posting on 8 different social media sites and sending emails.

I am posting this go fund page because I want to let people know that they don't have to purchase the art to support my art. A small donation to help pay for my art supplies / artistic expenses or even a like or share on one of my social media posts means the world to me. I have been painting and drawing since I was 8 years old and I do not intend to stop. My passion for fine art is instinctual, giving me a sense of purpose and productivity in my life.
