Micah's Medical Travel Expenses

When Micah was born, moments after they took him out of me, they placed him on my chest skin to skin. I cried and brushed my hand across his head and looked into his eyes. His dad and I laughed about his loud cry as we admired his chubby face; he was the biggest baby of our 3 children – weighing 9 pounds, 7 ounces.  Jon told me he was perfect.
When I was feeling his head I noticed a small pebble-like lump and mentioned it to his doctors. Our doctors told us it was nothing to worry about and Micah is perfectly healthy. Every visit we had for Micah I brought up this tiny lump on the back of Micah’s head and every time we were reassured “oh it’s nothing, he’ll grow out of it.” Unsure, I finally changed doctors and after his 4 month wellness visit Micah had an ultrasound of his head.
We were notified Thursday evening (April 6th, 2017) with devastating news.  Micah’s tiny bump is a rare tumor that is partially in and resting above the skull, but thankfully has not entered his brain.
We are being referred to Minneapolis Children’s Hospital - Cancer & Blood Disorders Clinic for a second opinion and possible surgery next week. Our doctors have asked us to be prepared for several visits to the Twin Cities in the following months to come. The news is terribly overwhelming, but I know in my heart everything will be okay - we love him SO much, it has to be okay. 
Jonathon and I decided to share on fb because we are asking our family, relatives, and friends to keep Micah in your prayers. We are trying our hardest to be positive and optimistic of the results to come. We are beyond thankful for our families support and help, but after talking with the doctor’s office we have decided to start this GoFundMe because we will need to take several trips to the Twin Cities.
