Mia for Missions
Dear Friends and Family,
The Lord has been so amazing and so faithful! He has been really moving in beautiful and powerful ways in my life, and I pray the same is occurring for you. Our loving Lord has given me an opportunity to go out this summer and be His hands and feet. What an amazing honor! With 4 Christ Missions Organization, I will be going on a Medical Mission that goes through Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil and an Educational Mission in the very impoverished area of San, Telmo, Mexico. 4 Christ Missions is a mission organization started by Pastor Paul Suh with the purpose of reaching out making disciples in different countries, starting with Latin America, and sharing with them the Christ's transformative love.
The Medical Mission will be a two week long mission trip. Beginning in Bolivia and ending in Brazil, we will be traveling from to many different churches as God's servants. At each church we will lead worship and hold services for the native people and offer them our prayers: prayers of healing, salvation, of building faith and anything else God places on our hearts. We will also be doing Vacation Bible School with the children to tell them of God's love and showing them our love for them. We will be performing skits that portray the different aspects of Christian life, hoping to communicate how much God loves them and how they can receive their salvation through Him. The medical team will be offering their check ups, medicine, and dental care as well. Although there is a language barrier, I trust that God is universal and can use us as broken and empty vessels to touch the hearts of his beloved children.
El Porvenir Summer Education Mission is an amazing opportunity to see God move powerfully in the lives of children. It takes place at El Porvenir; a school built by 4 Christ Mission that is located in Baja California in the providence of San Telmo, Mexico. During the missions program the children are taught English, take art classes, community service classes, and play games in the physical education class. Along with those basic classes they are taught values and are ministered to everyday. This year we will also be taking the children out into their neighborhoods to go out and evangelize to others. Having been part of this since the first formation of the program I can genuinely testify to seeing the Holy Spirit move at this school and in the children. I am a witness to the real love that our Father has for us and these little ones, and I have seen with my own eyes how it brings about true and real transformation. I can honestly say that being a part of this program in the past has changed my life and is the best thing I have ever done.
One of the most important aspects of missions is the support of those back here in the states. Your contributions, especially your prayers, are what help keep missions going strong. Before, during, and after the mission trips, I ask for your covering in prayers. Before the trips, that my teammates and I have the right hearts going into these missions fields, hearts for God's people and hearts to serve them as the hands and feet of Jesus. During, please pray for our strength and unity as a team. Also, that we may have the wisdom while sharing the gospel and that those receiving will have open and willing hearts. Lastly, I ask that you continue to pray that God's will is being done in those places, even after we have gone. For myself, I ask that you please pray that I will be able to put my full trust in Him and am able to give all of the glory to God, whole heartedly. My goal is to increase His kingdom, share His love, and make my Daddy in Heaven smile.
Not only do I need your prayers, I would also greatly appreciate your financial help. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, but if this is not feasible then I completely understand and still appreciate the power of your prayers. The total cost of both mission trips is approximately $4,000, which will be used to support trip fees, travel costs, supplies for the children, and other training expenses. Your financial support will grant me the opportunity to serve God away from home this summer. If you are able to assist me through prayer and financial support, please send any donations by May 20, 2013, so that I will be able to meet all of the financial deadlines.
