March for Our Lives, NewarkBus

As a retired NHS teacher, I am calling on our community to support our young people working for change and sensible laws to keep us ALL safe.  We have chartered a bus to Washington DC for the March for Our Lives demonstration on March 24, 2018.  This fundraising campaign is specifically to financially aid students who might want to particpate, but would not have all the funds to get there.  We will be asking students to contribute no more than $10 toward what would otherwise be a $50 ticket.

The bus will be chaperoned and all riders would need to attend an organizational meeting, agree to DC rules already set in place for march participants and supply emegency contact info for that day. Minors (under 18)will need a parent/guardian waiver.

As of now, the time an place for departure and return is not firm, but will be in Newark (DE), leaving anywhere between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. and returning 12 hours later.

Deadline for donations is March 5, 2018!  The young people on this bus will determine where to donate any surplus funds.

Thanks in advance for your support.  We are so proud of these young people who are speaking for ALL the victims of gun violence in our community, not just those  in schools.
