Good Morning Team, 

As most of you are aware, I am from Puerto Rico and most of my family still live on the island. They have all been significantly impacted by Hurricane Maria, which decimated most of the island. Thankfully, everyone in my family survived and I finally heard from them 8-days after the hurricane. They, like most of the people in PR are in  need of necessities. My dad, his elderly sisters and all my mom’s family, who live in the central mountain range, have not had any aid with power or food.

I am reaching out to my family, friends and coworkers in the U.S to humbly ask for any assistance you can offer for my family. We are trying to raise funds so that they can purchase a generator and buy food on the island. Due to the scarcity of food and other essentials, there have been limitations on the quantity each family can buy and significant spike in the cost of these essentials. I thank you all for your unending support and moral support during the time I did not hear from my family and did not know who survived and who did not. My sister is traveling to PR on Oct 12th and the quickest way to send what we have will be via her. I have purchased a few items of clothing and toiletries and have that packed and ready to go. Any monetary assistance, for a generator and food, is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
