Melissa's Medical Fund

In November 2014, my sister Melissa Dimicelli was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast to Lung Cancer.  It was like a bad dream happening all over again, as she had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November of 2011, but was able to overcome the disease.  Now undergoing Chemotherapy at M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas for this new Cancer, the treatment has not been kind to her. She has not been able to work full time because of the debilitating side effects of her treatment and the frequent, extended stays in the hospital.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money to help with her medical bills, and the various other expenses she faces during and after the new fight for her life. 

Melissa is a single mother of 2 beautiful children Jake, age 12, and Violet age 9.  Her 9 year old Violet was born with a rare set of birth defects known as VACTRL association.  Violet has had many, many surgeries, and has accumulated large hospital bills herself. She requires far more care than your average 9 year old.  Any sickness she gets can actually take her life in an instant if not treated immediately.
