Melanie Plants Wilson , Medical Fund

On Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 41 year old Melanie received a devastating diagnosis. She was told that she has Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer (ATC) is the rarest and most aggressive type of Thyroid Cancer, with only 300 new cases per year in the United States. The diagnosis comes as a shock to Melanie, her husband Jim and her three children, DJ age 23, Laric age 21, & Drew age 16. Melanie has been very strong and positive despite the diagnosis. Melanie will be travelling to Boston for additional tests and possible treatment.

Unfortunately, the outcome in all cases of ATC is terminal. The focus of Melanie's energy will be on treatment, comfort and her family.

This fund is being established to help Melanie and Jim with medical costs, prescription costs, travel expenses, lost income, and final expenses.
