Matti's Treatment and Recovery
Donation protected
Friends, for the past week Matti has been in and out of urgent care with what was thought to be a cold that would work itself out. Late Wednesday night she ended up in the hospital with RSV which resulted in an hour-long ambulance ride and a stay in the ICU at Doernbecher. Stephanie and Matti will be here indefinitely until Matti is strong enough to breathe on her own and they can get fluid out of her lungs.
As you can imagine (and many of you have unfortunately experienced), this has been a traumatic experience for both baby and mama.
Stephanie is a first time mom and doing this on her own
with the support of her family. She's been back at work for a couple of months since maternity leave and does not have time off, so it's likely she'll need to take two weeks to a month of unpaid time. At this time Matti is expected to be in the ICU for a week.
Thank you for anything you're able to contribute to Stephanie and Matti as they get through this time. Thank you for your prayers for this little babe. We can't wait for her to return to her happy, smiley self.
