Our son Matthew Roach was born with Downs Syndrome and was fairly high functioning until  2007 when he was stricken with Moya Moya Syndrome which left him paralyzed on the left side.  This set him back and he has never fully recovered from it.  He did learn to walk again, but with a pronounced limp,  and to this day has no function in his left arm.  Even with these two major issues he was able to lead a good life.  Then in 2013 he started getting pneumonia.  This has led to 2 or 3  month-long hospital stays every year since.  The doctors say he has “Chronic Lung Disease”.

In  April of 2017 he got sick again.  This time he was so sick it turned into a six month hospital stay  during which his conditioned  required  a trach  and ventilator which require 24/7 care.  He is home now, but needs to go to the rehab hospital to learn to walk again but the insurance company will not let him go, so for now his Mother and I are doing what needs to be done.  The costs of all this has just been more than we can afford, and we have gone into debt so much so it will take years for me to even hope to pay it off.  We would be so grateful for any amount you give.
