Matt's road to recovery

Donation protected
On Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at about 1:20 PM, Matthew crashed into a rock ledge on Route 2 at exit 29 in Norwich, CT. He had to be extricated from his Jeep Wrangler and then was transported to The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich via ambulance. Matthew sustained multiple incapacitating injuries. After initial examination and stabilization he was flown to the Hartford Hospital Trauma Center via LifeStar Helicopter. Matthew is listed in critical but stable condition. In the upcoming weeks Matthew will face several more serious surgeries.

Matthew will most likely be in the hospital several more weeks and then move to a rehabilitation center. While Matt is recovering there will be a lapse of income to their household. As we all know raising three children and maintaining a home can be expensive. This fund was created to help provide for Matthew's children during his ongoing treatment. Whether it goes towards a meal, shelter, or an ongoing expense every little bit helps.

We all look forward to seeing Matthew healthy again and are thankful to still have him in our lives. We will continue to keep him in our thoughts and prayers as he continues his road to recovery.

Thank you for taking the time to read about Matthew and his accident and we graciously thank you for helping to support his family during his recovery.
