Love and Support for Marty Clay
At about 2am on Sept 28th Marty Clay's life changed forever, but he was lucky to have survived. His co-worker and friend, Tom Malenski, was murdered. They worked together doing security for a club in Baltimore. They'd just evicted a patron, and were returning to the entrance. They were blindsided and became the victims of a senseless knife attack. The assailant was captured and a full confession given, and is in custody, charged with 1st Deg Murder, and 1st Deg Attempted Murder.
3 hours with the best plastic surgeon at Baltimore's Shock Trauma worked diligently to reconstruct Marty's face from the gaping wounds. It is known that Marty saw the man's hand coming at him and believed he was being punched, so he put his chin down, which saved his life since the assailant was obviously going for the throat.
In addition to the daunting Shock Trauma expenses, there are continuing medical costs to bring him through this horrific ordeal. The post traumatic shock of the event has left Marty unable to return to his employment. Its his desire to heal and return to his work. First the invisible wounds need tending to also, and that will take time.
This fund is established to assist Marty with not only assistance with his accrued and anticipated medical expenses, but also with his necessary living expenses, which are modest. Any support that can be given is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
