Mariel's doing the IJM Freedom Ride

Hi I'm Mariel and over the course of the last year I became very aware of the issue of modern day slavery and injustice against women around the world. There are an estimated 27 million children, women and men trapped in slavery and sex trafficking around the world—more than there were in the entire trans-Atlantic slave trade. The more I learned the more I wanted to do something to give a voice and lend a hand to those who are all but forgotten in our daily lives. That was when I came across the International Justice Mission's Freedom Tour.
The Freedom Tour is an IJM sponsored expedition where a group of ~20 riders will bike from Seattle to Portland, a route spanning 450 miles to raise money for the International Justice Mission while also spreading awareness along the route. My goal is to raise 3,000 which will be used by IJM to rescue victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and violent injustice. IJM over the last 15 years has helped to free thousands of children, women, and men across the developing world. They help survivors of violence receive the healing and restoration they need to rebuild their lives while continually working with local governments to help protect the poor.
There are several ways you can help me reach my goal of raising $3,000 for IJM by July 18th when the Freedom Tour starts. The tanks would be awesome for any patriotic events and every little bit counts when trying to raise money.
