Shhh… It’s a secret… Marian Watkins 60th birthday is Friday May 30th and we need your help! We are raising the funds to paint Marian’s house!
While we were excited to help her celebrate this wonderful milestone Marian has asked us to keep things quiet and low-key; no parties, no presents and no surprises.
We simply are not going to play along this time! We will respect the request of no parties or gag gifts but it’s time for a surprise and a present. Marian deserves a killer gift that she will always remember.
As you all know the last few years have brought Marian a vast selection of life altering ups and downs. In true Marian fashion she has risen to each challenge with strength and grace. Marian’s warmth and love has touched all of our lives and it is time to give back. Marian purchased her new home planning on making it her perfect retirement home. She has tackled the weeds, slayed the dust bunnies and reined in the urgent matters of home maintenance but she would really love to paint the exterior of her home. She has been day dreaming the paint colors for almost a year now but keeps putting her time and money towards other things and other people.

Can you imagine how wonderful the surprise of this gift will be for Marian? Birthdays can be a bit of a challenge and we can think of no greater gift than knowing the people surrounding you came together to wrap your home with their love for you.
It’s time for all of us to put our money where our mouths are. Seriously who here hasn’t eaten one of Marian’s delicious homemade baked goodies? Who here has been on the receiving end of Marian’s support, love or solid advice? We all have.
Please donate to the fund. It will take all of us chipping in whatever we can to give this “light gray but not too light but warm but not too warm, you know, kind of cool but soft… with white trim – a crisp white but nothing harsh or bleached out – with a fun pop of color on the door – but nothing crazy…”

(Our fundraising goal amount will cover full pressure washing of the house, all sanding & prepping of the exterior, full painting of the house and trim paint plus some general repairs to the exterior siding including new weather-stripping, a garage door tweek to remove a squeek, some small gutter fixes and new house numbers. If we make our goal we would love to add new exterior lights to the list!)
