I am looking to raise money to cover the cost of my past and future medical bills.
Background:
I have been in need of a new liver since July of 2012. I have been on the organ transplant list since then.
I started liver dialysis at the end of January 2013. I was really lucky and got into a medical study that covers the cost of the dialysis. I also have a really good doctor that works with me pro bono.
However, there are some tests and other fees that are not covered by the medical study and not all of the doctors I see can consult for free.
I have bi-weekly blood tests and bone density tests. Monthly liver biopsies, as well as other tests.
This has led to me being unable to afford much of the medical treatment that I need, and quite a bit of debt.
Along with this debt, I am also trying to raise money for my future medical expenses. If/when I get the transplant I will need to be on immunosuppressants for life, to help ensure that my body does not reject the new liver.
How you can help:
Donating! Even a couple of dollars can help with some of the tests that I frequently undergo.
