Our Friend Margie
Donation protected
A dear friend and member of our Saratoga community ,Margie, survived the tragic shooting on November 5 at the Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. Margie McKenzie was attending church while visiting family in Texas. Tara, Margie’s niece was killed, her grandniece and nephew were seriously injured, and Margie was wounded. The resulting emotional trauma and physical injuries have added to the challenges Margie already faces as person with a mobility disability and hearing impairment.
With a good deal of support from friends, public officials and caregivers, Margie is now recovering at home and her immediate needs are being met.
Margie’s friends have created a “Go Fund Me” initiative to support Margie’s longer-term needs. We want to make sure funds are available to do meeting her ongoing medical and therapeutic expenses.
Many of Margie's friends have asked how they can help,
please consider a gift to this page to help us ensure that Margie’s future needs are met and she can live the comfortable life she deserves.
