Help Mady beat the odds!

About 2 years ago, my daughter Mady, then 12 became withdrawn, depressed, and anxious. She seemed to lose her confidence and her inner "sparkle" We sought help for her, however her symptoms kept getting progressively worse.  She lost all her hair(Alopecia Areata), and her mental illness progressed to the point where she needs constant 24 hour supervision and support. She experiences anxiety and depression so severely she at times becomes psychotic.  We have struggled to find a cause and and treatment which helps, yet she continues to get worse.  This illness has debilitated her to the point she is unable to have a normal teenage experience. As her mother, I have watched my beautiful child suffer daily and it has broken me. Having a family member with mental illness not only affects the individual, but the entire family. When a child is ill it is devastating and as a parent, you want to make everything better, but sometimes you just can't. In addition to the emotional toll, having a child with a chronic life threatening mental illness has a significant financial toll as well. In addition to FOUR hospitalizations, medical and psychological testing, and two desperate trips to Mayo clinc so far, I have had to take WEEKS off work withput pay to care for my daughter. Now it is summer, and as a teacher I will not see a paycheck until September. In addition, we are scheduled to spend 2 weeks at the Mayo clinic in August for an intensive treatment program. Insurance will cover the treatment, but we still need to pay for 2 weeks of hotel, meals, and other expenses.
Asking for help is not something I do, but as any parent knows- for my child I would do anything. I have never asked for money from anyone, but now I must. Any amount would be appreciated and will make things just a little bit better. I thank you in advance, and will find some way, someday, to pay it forward.
