***Update*** 8/17/14

"I am sad and heartbroken to write this message on behalf of my wife. Today I lost my best friend and the love of my life. She finished her race with courage and strength on her own terms. I ask that you keep my boys in your prayers tonight as I know she is watching over them with all her love. I can only begin to say how proud of her that I am. All of you who had the honor of knowing and loving she is now an Angel. So when you think as I know you will please remember her strength her love and her constant care of all who has been her life. Also if you have a special thought of memory of Cheryl that you have I would love to hear them and pass it on to our sons. Once again thank you all for your love and support." Bob 

"Hi everyone. Just wanted to give you all an update. Bob and I have spent most of this week in Boston and did not get the news we wanted. My cancer is caused the veins and arteries to stop draining correctly. So I have a lot of fluid buildup in my abdomen. The chemo meds are not working either. I have decided to stop all chemo meds. I have made myself a DNR and will be having Hospice coming into the house. If I am lucky I have a month or two at best. Again, I want to thank you all for your never ending support and love. I have one request from all of you and that is to please be there to help Bob raise our 2 beautiful boys. I think he can use all the help he can get. Thank you again. Love you all."
