MacGyver's Road to Recovery

I write this in a time of immediate need and urgency.  As many of you know, I recently moved to Astoria with my little guy, MacGyver.  My handsome little explorer got a little too curious and fell from our fifth-floor balcony, thus suffering some very severe injuries:  two broken limbs, trauma to the chest, bruised lungs, and a handful of broken ribs.  Damage to his right hind leg was so severe that it had to be amputated.  While I am so grateful that MacGyver survived, this whole ordeal has been emotionally traumatizing, highly stressful, and financially burdensome.  MacGyver has been a constant companion in my life for the past decade, and it brings me so much joy that so many of you have gotten to know him and love him.  While my main focus now is MacGyver's physical recovery and well-being, I must also confront the reality of the burdensome pile of medical bills that lay ahead.  If there is any contribution you can make towards helping me pay for MacGyver's surgery & medical expenses, please consider it a deed well-spent.  No gift is too small, and any contribution helps.  I mean this sincerely.  Whether you are able to donate or not, please also consider sharing MacGyver's story.
