MYSTORY is a youth empowerment and mentorship program that builds confidence and leadership skills, allowing youth to speak out about their lives and the effects of the environment around them.
The Young Leaders Awards is the launch event for this new organization, MYSTORY. The event will be held on September 27, 2014. It will highlight 6 of our youth for their work ethics in their schools and communities.
This event is also dedicated to Teresa Fields, my mother, who passed away one year ago in September to cancer. She was a humanitarian who gave everything she had to anyone in need, no matter the cost. This event will also be awarding scholarship(s) in her name.
MYSTORY looks to helps ages 14-19 through the transitions of one milestone to the next (High School to College/Adulthood). It is a platform for them to express themselves through voice and actions when dealing with their feelings and emotions.
We are looking to raise $3,000 to fund the event. Any amount, gift cards, and business services (as donations) are welcomed. The funds raised for this event will be allocated towards:
*Rental of the facility
*Rental of tables and chairs
*Decorations
*Food and warmers
*Plates, napkins, and utensils
*Entertainment
*Awards
Please bless this organization by donating whatever you can to make this event a success. This is a new beginning for the vision that I have to reach these teenagers before they embark upon the journey that we call "life."
