MRAOC is seeking $2000 to pay school fees for 20 children for a year from Septermner 2017 to August 2018

MRAOC Trust is a charitable organisation operating in the Zimbabwean rural areas of Mberengwa. It is a registered trust under the laws of the country for the purpose of caring for orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) in the country.

MRAOC Trust currently has no donor support and depends on self-help projects income which is insufficient to meet basic requirements which include:

School fees
Food
Clothing
Accommodation (hostels, classrooms/workshops and conference rooms)
Toiletries
Learning materials and equipment

While we have hundreds of children requiring various types of assistance this campaign aims to pay school fees for 20 students for a year at $100 per student. You can elect to sponsor 100%, 3 quarters, half, or a quarter of the amount, i.e. $100, $75, $50 $25 - OR MORE.

Should we meet this target, we will still welcome more donations to support the following:

$1000 to sponsor school fees for another ten children
$500 will assist in purchasing a wheel chair for Abigail who is in our care and desperately need one
$2000 will provide basic food that last 3 months for 41 children in the orphanage
$500 will help in the cost of shipping of donated clothing and learning materials.
$5000 to install a solar powered borehole, this will ensure supply of clean water and drastically reduce our power bills.

Success stories

MRAOC cared for numerous children who went on to be assimilated onto the community with others making great achievements to include:

15 children becoming University graduates.
6 children joining the Police and Defence Forces
4 children working as qualified Nurses
2 children are qualified teachers
1 went Canada to study and now lives and works there.
Many more have assimilated into the community and are gainfully employed

At one stage through the generosity of sponsors MRAOC was funding over 1900 children's school fees per year and we aim to be able to do the same or more as there are thousands of children in need.
