Making Maggie’s Miracles Happen!

Donation protected
Life. It's precious. And just when you think you have it figured out something comes along to remind you otherwise.
Two years ago Maggie married the love of her life in a legal ceremony. I have never seen so many smiling faces. So much joy you could inhale it.
Not long after the wedding the road took a bump and they were caring for their beautiful granddaughter. Maggie quit her full-time job of 8 years to be home more for the little one. She took 2 part-time jobs to fill in the bill gaps , life was still all good.
In July life's road didn't take a bump it hit a brick wall. Maggie's mother died of breast cancer at the age of 40 when Maggie was very young. So she has always been very diligent when it came to self awareness. Never missed a mammogram. But this summer she felt a lump. She got the scans, 2nd mammogram and sonogram ... Suspicious ... Got the biopsy ... Got the bad news:

Stage 2A Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
6 months chemo, which includes the infamous "Red Devil". Then a choice between a double mastectomy or lumpectomy with radiation. All started immediately, upon diagnosis.

We all know that life doesn't stop with a diagnosis, nor do the day to day bills. Not only the normal of "life before BC" but now the "life after BC". Due to the major doses of chemo Maggie has had to go in more than once a week for labs and hydration. Kim has been with her on every trip, while also working her own job, an added part-time job, caring for Maggie on the bad days and caring for their granddaughter. After a little over 3 months financial worries are growing to the "uh oh, we need help" stage. Insurance is great, but it doesn't cover everything with an 80/20 plan and the deductibles are huge. The costs of all the extra needs rise by the day. And this will continue until well after January, when the deductible restarts. Then they will assess the surgery, surgery costs, and after surgery decisions.
As much as they hate to ask for help for themselves , they need it. The loss of what Maggie was bringing in is bad enough but the added bills & medical needs are adding up fast. They are hoping to raise at least $5,000 to offset medical costs but anything will be so very much appreciated.
This has been a terrible time for so many people. The devastating Hurricanes have left so many without homes and jobs. The horrific shooting in LV has caused so much pain and suffering. To ask more from kind hearted people is not an easy thing to do and we hope you know how much gratitude is in our hearts for what you have shared.
Thank you,
