Nathan Hinds Rehabilitation Fund

Nathan is a musician, a traveler, dreamer and a true brother to all of his friends! He was traveling in California this October, and after taking a walk one evening, was found 24 hours later, laid out on the side of a dirt road. It was a hit and run! On October 27th he was medevaced to the closest trauma intensive care with some extreme injuries including 5 broken ribs, collapsed lung, 3 crushed vertebrate, hip broken in 2 places, broken pelvis, broken wrist, bleeding on the brain and severe head trauma. He was in an induced coma for a week and in the ICU for two weeks. During this time he underwent multiple surgeries including having 7 vertebrae fused and his wrist reconstructed. After his weeks in ICU, Nathan was transferred to an in-hospital rehabilitation facility where he learned basic skills to help him in living with his injuries.............

It has been five weeks since his accident and he is doing better than any one could have predicted. That said, Nathan has a long road to recovery! He is receiving continued treatment toward his rehabilitation and it will be quite a while before he is able to live on his own or work a regular job......................

This page was started to help with some of the extreme costs he is already facing not to mention the continued cost of his medication and rehabilitation. He has no insurance and no way to work.
