Cathys Courageous Cancer Challenge

I want to tell you about my best friend Cathy who is more like a sister to me. We are so connected, as kids, we used to tell people we were twins and they believed it!
We met 38 years ago in 8th grade art class and we have been best buddies ever since. We did everything together, from  prom to break-ups to weddings, children and everything in between. Through thick and thin we always have each other's back.
When I was diagnose with Lymphoma at age 28 Cathy was there for me each and every day. Now 22 years later, I am strong and CANCER FREE!Thanks to my great family and friends that helped me through it, I am a survivor.
Now, my sister, my friend has her own battle to fight.
She was recently diagnosed with stage 2 Breast Cancer and like always it never comes at a good time.
Cathy has dedicated her life to her career as a well known hair stylist here in Miami. Just recently making a big career leap to branch out and reinvent something new on her own, has not left her in the best financial situation. With no major health insurance this is the type of stress she doesn't need. With radiation and plenty of doctor visits to come, things will add up quickly.
