Medical & housing costs for Lori's team

Lori Smith-Trevino is battling a rare cancer called Multiple Myeloma. She has been through radiation, chemo and lots of poking and prodding. Her next big step is to get a stem cell transplant and then a bone marrow transplant.
The costs to do this are extreme, especially since Lori has to be on long term disability and Rey has become the only one making a normal income between the two of them. In estimating their out-of-pocket expenses for Lori's medical treatment, her housing and food, as well as food/housing expenses for her bone marrow donor, we (her family) have set a fund-raising goal of $15,000.
Lori will leave to start a 7 -month process in Seattle on August 6th. Although she will be back a couple times for a short time, the length of time she has to remain in Seattle for the proper care will be overwhelmingly expensive. Much of her chemo and radiation was able to be done right here in the Tri-Cities thanks to Northwest Cancer Center and also to the Tri-Cities Cancer center. However, due to the rarity of this cancer, a specialist doctor is needed and he resides in Seattle. Therefore she must be there for her entire treatment now that she is ready for the Stem cell transplant and then the bone marrow transplant.
We are aksing that you give whatever you can o help our Aunt, Sister, Cousin and Mother...and soon-to-be Grandmother to her first grandchild, Rigby. We are also planning a fund-raiser "feed", like Speghetti or tacos, etc. So, stay tuned for a fun event where you can enjoy good friends, food and atomosphere while giving to a great cause!
