Get Baron Running Again!

Lord Barkington Von Baron Prescott the Third Esq. (Baron, Barry Bags, Bags for short) is an 8 year old, (this month!) Pitbull Labrador mix. Baron is full of life and loves to run... Sadly within the past 3 months Baron has managed to tear both of his ACL's. Although, he has been a super star and managing to make it work, watching Baron try to run, walk up our apartment stairs, jump up on the bed (he is very spoiled), or even lay down is unbearable. Baron has already gone through a lot this past year. Some of you may know that Baron lost his daddy, Kevin Mcdade, in an automobile accident. Since then, Baron has become my son and all I want to do is make Baron the happiest dog alive. Watching him struggle with this pain has broken my heart. I'm willing to do anything to make sure he is taken care of, just like Kevin would do.
I finally found a vet that I am happy with in Chatsworth, CA. The vet has agreed to do both of his legs at the same time! He encourages movement after the surgery, which sounds way more realistic then sticking him in a crate for 3 weeks. Just thinking about doing that hurts my heart but, after reading reviews and talking to his past patients, it seems like the best option!
I try and give him a good life and put his needs before mine when times are tough, but sometimes circumstances arrive that are out of my control. The cost of his surgery is a bit out of my reach right now, but the longer I put it off the worse it will be for him.
All I want is Baron to have the absolute best life possible and with your help, he will. He has given me so much love when we both needed it and I would just like to continue to return the favor to him. I want to thank you in advance for all your help!
