Meet Loradel and her husband Darwin.
Darwin has to undergo a kidney transplant. Unable to find a donor, Loradel, his wife, unselfishly decided to give him one of hers.
Loradel is the sole provider for the family and has two part time jobs; her husband is unable to work because of his health issues. The couple has a young child. Loradel spoke to me about the operation and why she decided to give up one of her kidney to him. With tears rolling down her face she said “We cannot find a donor and he needs it soon. I am going to lose him if I wait. I need him Madam, I am a match and I am going to give him mine.”
What an unselfish act of kindness and an honorable thing to do for someone you love. We all need each other to survive in this world and an act of kindness goes a long way. Give and it will be given to you. The true means of happiness is to lose your mind by thinking for others! If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich. Life’s good when it’s lived for oneself; it’s greater when lived for others.

This is a special time when we can all pitch in to make a difference in the lives of these two wonderful people. We can give Loradel and Darwin the gift of not having to worry about money during this important and emotional time.
Your donation will help to cover expenses like medical expenses, home care, food, rent, and also help reduce the debt that has crept up on them while Darwin has been out of a full time job and hopefully we can raise enough to help with other expenses until the couple is able to get back on their feet.
