Hello friends and loved ones. Please take a minute of your time to watch this video and read this story and prayerfully consider helping my dear friend, Lora Sescil.
On the weekend of August 25th-27th, Lora Sescil, was severely affected by the rains of Hurricane Harvey. She was forced to evacuate her home in Friendswood, as waters rushed 4 feet into her home from the overflow of Clear Creek. Fortunately, her neighbors came to get her and her pets. She had no time to gather anything but her dog and cats. Three of her cats had to remain with neighbors. She was very fortunate to have made it out safely!
There are times in our lives where we are not in control of what happens to us and we turn to our Lord and trust that everything will be okay. Many of you know Lora has had her share of heartbreak and loss. She lost her husband several years ago. The loss of her home is especially poignant, as her home held memories of their time together.
As of now, Lora has lost all of her material possessions. With the help of family and friends, she has begun the lengthy process of cleaning up her home. We are hoping for donations to meet immediate needs, such as clothing, cleaning supplies, pet items, etc. Because there was so much water in her home, Lora will need to replace all the possessions that held her memories; as well as, furniture, clothing, and household items.
Lora is thankful for your prayers. If that is what you can offer, you are offering the most valuable gift. If you are able to help in a material way, the most impactful thing you can do is financially contribute to her recovery journey. The funds will be used to support her immediate needs as they arise, including clothing, cleaning supplies, pet items, etc.
