Little Elliott's Big Heart
Donation protected
For those of you who have not had the absolute pleasure of having your heart stolen by this little man, let me introduce you to Elliott. Pictured above is Elliott stealing the lime light when his Uncle Cody married his Aunt Jen this year. Many Lindenwood gymnastic alumni and supporters were present at the wedding to witness their coach's special day and we also had the great pleasure of getting to know their families...which brings us to Elliott.
He was born with a rare genetic condition called Jacobsen Syndrome, symptoms vary but in Elliott's case he was born with one kidney and a heart condition known as Hyperplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He has been through 2 heart surgeries and was thriving but in early November his parents were told his heart was not functioning well enough and he has been hospitalized ever since. Elliott has been placed on the heart transplant list and will need to remain hospitlaized until he receives the greatest gift...The Doctors are expecting him to remain hospitlaized for 3-8 months. He is being treated at a wonderful children's hospital in MO, but unfortunalty it is located a couple of hours from their family home. Elliott's parents are praying, taking turns staying with him so he is never alone, continuing to work and praying more.
Our Lindenwood alumn family realizes we cannot take away their worry and stress...or all the costs involved: medical bills, housing, transportation and lossed income, but we can help. Please find it in your heart to help however you can by donating and or sharing to spread the word so we can help bring Elliott home<3
