Lisa's story, from her family and friends.

Lisa Leverett is a courageous 45 y/o mother of one, battling Stage IV Ovarian Cancer that has now resurfaced in her lungs and breast. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy to stop the spread and treat her existing cancer. Lisa is not a surgery candidate and her fate now depends on her ability to receive and tolerate chemo and the Good Lord. She is currently Oxygen dependent due to low O2 levels but continues to be strong and fight for remission.

She was first diagnosed in April 2011 and has undergone two surgeries and treatment. She has beaten this disease two times in the past while holding down 3 jobs but is now facing a struggle. Unable to work is bearing the burdens of the horrific medical expenses endured by this horrible disease. Lisa has no income as she fights for disability. A medical caregiver herself, without the ability to work is jeopardizing not only her future but the risk of losing her home in which she built and finds comfort in.

During her first bout with Cancer Lisa formed and operated, "Save Our Warriors" which aided in help and benefit for soldiers including her son serving in Afghanistan, now it is time for us to become "Lisa's Warriors."
