Lisa Anderson's Recovery Support

Donation protected
Lisa Anderson devastatingly suffered a stroke on April 16, 2017.  Prior to that day, she spent her time devoted to her 4-year old daughter, Everly, and to her husband, Jacob.  Lisa spent one month in the critical care unit of Swedish Hospital in Seattle after undergoing several brain surgeries.  There were moments when the risks were so high that it wasn't certain that she would make it.  It's now November.  She's come a long way since then and is now able to communicate and to move the left side of her body.  Her strength and the care from close friends & family plus some amazing doctors have helped her get this far.

She has been in the hospital since April and will transition home soon.  She's working hard to strengthen the movement on the left side of her body and her right side is without movement right now.  She's working hard to learn to swallow, to have a tracheotomy removed, to speak, and to move her body.

The reason for this fund is to assist Jacob & Lisa as Lisa transitions home.  They will renovate their home ASAP in order to accommodate a wheelchair and create sufficient living space on the main floor.  There will be significant and ongoing expenses to support Lisa's continued recovery efforts at home while Jacob continues to work full time.

[Editor's note:  The Andersons care for others, and they are givers.  Jacob's love for Everly and Lisa abounds, and although they are going through a significant trial, they stay positive and focused.  It's hard to describe how life-changing this has been to their family.  Jacob works full time and spends nearly all of his non-work time caring for & spending time with Everly and Lisa.  I'm personally thankful to know them and I hope we can raise lots of money to support them.]
