Devastating and heartbreaking. There are no words that can make a difference in the family of Lindsey Michaels right now. Their daughter was tragically killed by a train this weekend - a girl with a very bright future just on the horizon. Her parents, Colleen and Lenny, and her sister Jamie are going through something that has no logical explanation that no family should ever have to endure.
The Michaels' family is from Dormont, PA, and Lindsey was a dean's list student at Carlow University, where she was an academic standout studying to make a difference in the lives of heart surgery patients. Before heading to Carlow, she was active in the local community and a cheerleader in the Keystone Oaks School District from 1st through 12th grade. She turned 21 just a few weeks ago.
Friends of the family have set this fund up as a venue for those wanting to reach out and help the family and also as a way for those not knowing what to do or say to help out.
Please keep Colleen, Lenny and Jamie in your thoughts and prayers during this devastating and heartbreaking time. They have a very long haul ahead, so please reach out to them. Funeral arrangements are being made through the Anthony M. Mussmanno Funeral Home .
